Darling Husband and I decided to switch from “sort of” preventing, to officially NTNP this month… which has somehow morphed into what I think is actively TTC (yay!). So I’m trying to keep a casual mindset, and NOT symptom spot. However, there are some things I’ve noticed… like a migraine (complete with glorious vomitting), sore BB’s starting from about 6dpo (and on and off), plus cramping (not excruciating, but weird, uncomfortable, almost fluttery muscle-spasmy feelings, if that makes sense..nothing I’ve ever experienced before, even during a “scare”) from 5-7 dpo with possible, slight brown spotting. I was really trying not to get caught up in the symptoms, but I broke down and POAS at 7dpo at night– WAY early, I know, I know. But I did see a faint line as the test was developing (moving across the screen), but it was a squinter for sure, and I couldn’t tell the color. So I waited until this morning, approx. 9dpo and 5 days before AF, and bfn.
I know it’s probably too early, but it’s hard not to get my hopes up. I’m thinking I’m out, but I’m not sure. The supposed “symptoms” that I’ve had are things that haven’t occured since I stopped hormonal BC over 2 years ago (because of miserable side effects). Ahhh please help me from driving myself crazy!
ETA: I’m only using FRER, btw.

I had a – on 11dpo & only got the FAINTEST (squinter) + at 14dpo. Anything is possible.

Sounds promising!! I had weird little cramps before I got my bfp. 🙂 I didn’t get mine until my period was 4 days late

@AnonymousCupcake: I agree, sounds promising! I had tested 10,11,12… and at 10 I did have a FAINT line on a internet cheapie.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not an expert on conception, but browsing a couple of sites, one says that implantation happens 7-10 dpo, one says 6-12, another says 6-12 (with average of 9dpo), and Wikipedia says most likely to occur 9dpo with a range of 6-12. Since your body doesn’t even know it’s pregnant and you don’t make hCG until after implantation, I think you’re testing too early.

Thanks everyone! I ordered some internet cheapies that should be here tomorrow, so I’ll test again then!

My last cycle was full of symptoms that made me swear I was pregnant. Sore boobs at 5DPO (when I typically don’t get that until 8DPO), no IBS attacks (which always happens the day after O), ridiculous gas, pains/twinges/cramps in my side, etc. I started 5 days early with a 10 day luteal phase. Its hard not to symptom spot, but the average pregnancy symptoms don’t start showing until 20 DPO. Breasts are sore due to a surge in progesterone. Don’t read the test while the urine is making its away across. You will almost always see a line as the test is developing. HCG takes 3-4 days to be produced in amounts high enough to see on a HPT. Save your sanity and give it a few more days.

Keep us updated! Sounds promising

I am in the same boat. Darling Husband and I were NTNP for a while and we “did it” while I was in my “fertile range”. I am now about 7 days before my period and getting the STRANGES feelings down there. Like, fluttery/cramping. I have NEVER felt this before… I am trying NOT to get my hopes up… I took a test yesterday (TOO EARLY, I know… ) and got a BFN.
I think if AF gets here this month I am going to be sad.. and probably start TTC officially.

Well it has been a few days, and I bought some wondfos (since FRER is expensive and I feel bad wasting them!). I used it tonight when I got home from work, and saw what could be a faint line/could be an evap. I can’t really tell, but I think I might be losing hope for this month.
The only other thing that I could think (besides a bfn for the month), was that maybe my cycle is longer than usual. I have an average 29 day cycle (looking at the app on my phone), but for the past 2 months, it was 26 then 33 days. Since that’s the only method I’m using to track my cycles (besides O pains), do you think maybe I O’d later than I thought, and I’m actually 9 or 10 dpo (estimated) instead of 12 like I thought?
