I was looking to buy the wondfo HPTs but I noticed in some of the reviews some people had had false positives with them. Others complained about the lines being too faint or difficult to read.
So how did it go for you? How did you use them and would you order them again? If not, what cheap HPT would you suggest?
Thanks for the imput!

I didn’t use wondfos, but I’ll answer to bump your post 🙂
I got my BFP on FRER. Not super duper cheap, but not digital expensive! I also tried a Clear Blue Easy around 10DPO and got a negative (but in certain light at a certain angle if you stood on one foot & squinted REALLY HARD you could almost see a shadow)… anyway, the FRER was easier to read and had I tested with that the first time I might have gotten my BFP a few days earlier.

I’ve never gotten a +, but that’s not the wondfos’ fault 😉 i’ll say this, wondfos are cheap…and thats the #1 reason i use them. i can POAS every day and not go broke (not that i would do that…haha…) i’ve never had an issue with them, and i know tons of women who have used them and gotten a BFP, but i’ve never heard of a false + with them (though i do hear about lots of false + with the blue dye tests). i say get a big stack of wondfos off amazon, and then keep one or two FRER around to confirm in the event you see 2 lines. I hope you see 2 lines soon 🙂

I too have used Wondofo and never gotten a positive. Like esqbee said, not its faulth though. But based on the opks I say its pretty easy to ready, and offers good value for your money overall.

As someone who spent about £30 in one cycle on FRERs, I’d go for the cheapest ones. I tested too early and then also wanted to test again for reassurance after getting my BFP, and using the nicer tests meant it was unnecessarily expensive. The cheapies still work well from what I’ve heard, and you can scratch the POAS itch without going bankrupt. Plus, it’s seems fun to go get a nicer test when you graduate to seeing lines.

My POAS style was early and often. I got a squinter on 9dpo with a wandfo, and never experienced a false positive in 19 cycles.
I liked to keep lots or wandfos and what I referred to as my “special occasion” FRER around In case of a faint positive or symptom spotting so bad I thought I MuST be pregnant, or super late arrivals of AF.

I agree with previous posters. I’ve never been pregnant, but I do the same thing with their OPKs. I bought a ton of the Wondfos from Amazon and use them to my heart’s content. If I get a questionable result, I confirm with a digital test I keep handy. I plan to do the same thing with the pregnancy tests. 🙂

@BRbee: @SapphireSun: @esqbee: @picturemeurs: Thanks for the imput ladies! I think I’m going to go ahead and buy a 50 pack (why not right?)

I just wanted to add the wondfos worked great for me as well. I never got a false positive, but I will say my first positive on the wondfo was very much a squinter. I used an FRER to confirm which had a darker second line. However, I had never gotten a squinter before using wondfos, and it turned out it was my BFP after all.

I got a VERY dark line on an FRER at 11 dpo with FMU, and I did a wondfo the night before and now (looking back) there was a line when I did a wondfo at 10 dpo in the afternoon, but it was soooo sooooo faint that I chalked it up to a BFN and had a glass of wine that night. Whoops! When my temp was still up in the morning, I did the FRER, but I can totally understand about not wanting to use those expensive things without feeling like you are wasting them! The 2 cycles before I wasted a whole bunch of FRERs testing at like…7 dpo, so I told myself I was only going to use the wondfo’s 3rd cycle and now I bet a BFP would have shown up with a FRER on 10 dpo. Also, did a wondfo at 12 dpo and the line was definitely there, but still not super dark. I think they just take a little longer to get darker bc they need a higher concentration of hCG to get positive compared to FRERs.
