I’m thinking of mailing pochette or petal invitations without an envelope. I was thinking of gluing a wraparound band/address label (with removable adhesive) around the center to keep the invitation closed when mailed. Has anyone tried this? Has anyone had any problems? Is this tacky? I hate the waste of inner envelopes but kind of like the look of pochettes.

A great way to seal the invites without an envelope is to get 8.5 x 11 sheets of labels from a local office supply store. There is one label per sheet. Print a design on the page labels and cut them into strips. This way you do not have to mess with glue. It works great!

I was interested in doing a pochette invitation without envelopes, also. I was just wondering how you are including accommodation info/replies. Are you just putting those inserts inside the pochette also? Thanks.
