(Closed) Pocket Square AND Bout?

Uh oh! I’m pretty curious about this as well. Fiance was planning on doing both but if it’s too much we will have to nix the pocket square.

My husband and his groomsmen all did this! I think it worked out great!

I think that you can do both if you fold the pocket square descretely and not some huge thing sticking up and if the boutonniere is more simple and classic without all of the extra foliage.

we are thinking of doing this….does the boutonniere have to be on the left side, or can it go on the right?

@Mrs. Meowerson:  The bout should go over your heart – so on the left side.  Also, if you do a bout + pocket square, they really should be on the same side… it looks really off-balanced if they are on separate sides.

My husband planned to wear both, and I completely thought he had… but I just looked at our photos, and no pocket square.  Then I remembered that he didn’t like the way it looked with his bout because the bout was a statement enough, so he took it out.  Anyway, here is a picture so you can see what I am talking about:
