So, I read in GQ magazine style rules that you are NOT supposed to match the pocket square to the tie. Presumably you should do a similar color family or something to play off the tie or suit color. I looked up a few other menswear style blogs and they have the same guideline.
Here comes the dilemma: for the groomsmen we (and by that I mean I:) selected black suits, white shirts and solid baby pink ties (the color is a lighter version of a salmon pink). Pretty simple so far, no? I am getting the ties from the Tie Bar, and they have many options for silk pocket squares, but for the life of me I don’t know what color to pick? Just plain white? Pink paisley pattern? Medium gray? Silver? Stylish bees, please help!
They will also have boutoniers, some combo of white/cream and very pale blush pink.
All the stuff I never wanted to know but now am obsessing about:) Pomanders, bustles, and now pocket squares!
