I’m going through the same thing… I think I am going to make a label (and decorate it of course!) or something to print the names on (in "my" font). This way they know just who this is for. Then on the Response card, I am going to mail merge their names onto the name line so no mix ups there 😉

I was thinking about this as well.  But I decided that since I need the "guest" name anyway, I am just getting everyone’s significant other’s name beforehand, and addressing the invite to both.

I’m having the same issue – I think I’m going to print out the names on whatever seal I make for the front of the pocketfold.  But I’ve also heard that people just put the "& guest" part on the outer envelope.  Another thing that could be done is to print out a little note and inserting it into the pocket that says that you’ve reserved a space for a guest too.

I’m doing pocket fold invites myself, and initially I was going to simply fold and mail. However, when talking to the post office I learned I’d have to seal not only the flap – which is easy enough with my return address seal – but also both sides with those clear round sitickers.

All I could think about was my invites being ripped apart when poeple recieved them and tried to open them and immediatly decided to buy envelopes for them. The cost wasn’t so bad through http://www.envelopemall.com

At first was I was going to to with translucent ones, but then changed my mind to stardream ones that match the paper in the invite. This way the formal name can go on the envelope and I can put the non-formal part inside if need be.

One thing I saw done was this: A knottie did this but it was my inspiration…. since she didn’t do the tradtional inner envelope she listedit in the outside of her folded invite.

I am considering something similar – you can see my invites in my blog by clicking my name and following that link. I treid to post them on here last night but it didn’t work….
