Pointed/Chevron wedding band or open band?

I’m not a ring pro (at ALL) but I have a chevron wedding band, but I just have a round bezel solitaire so the point is much smaller than yours would be. One issue with it is that they spin in different directions all the time so they don’t line up. It drives me nuts and I often just spin the chevron to the back and wear them with a gap. I’m eventually going to get the setting on mine changed so that i can wear it flush, or have them fitted together.

I’d talk to your jeweler about your options with that particular setting! See if you can have it raised in that one spot or if you can have the chevron and ring fitted together somehow so they don’t spin out of wack.

I think the open band would look better. It would sort of balance the ring and create a thickness for the band instead of making even longer. I’ve seen some really pretty open bands on etsy. I’m about to make the purchase myself actually haha. As soon as I know for sure which one I want!

ppierce2019: I’m surprised your marquise isn’t poking you as it is, just now? When I had a square head on a ring my parents gave me, it was digging into my finger all.the.time. I loved it, but it was not comfortable to wear. I also had a trillion set opal from an ex, and I could not wear it with the tip pointing at my wrist.

All that is to say, that I think the open-ended wedding bands are super cool, and I’d do that if I had a ring that suited.
