I love walking and do a lot of distance walking with my husband. We both work in a software development company and build mobile apps and he is actually working on an augmented reality app, so this works for us on more than one level.

So we’ve been getting some extra walks and having fun. Started conversations with quite a few people too, so I’m loving the social aspect as well.

L606 :  I just downloaded it today and have caught my first 8 Pokemon (although the only ones that come into my house are stupid rat and pigeon ones). Fiance and his son are such gamer nerds so we’re planning a Pokemon walk tomorrow.

I think it’s silly that people are complaining about a game that gets people outside walking and exploring their neighborhoods. I love this game!! It’s so much fun and it’s great walking around parks with FH. The millenials who hate this game, man your childhood must’ve been sad without Pokemon. I mean come on how can you not like this game? And the people who act as if they don’t play because they’re busy adults. Have fun for once! I have a professional office job and lunch breaks are pretty awesome now.

L606 :  I am 20 in college so I am home for the summer and my mom and I play all the time! We love going shopping or on walks and searching for Pokemon. So much fun. When I go back to my university, I can’t wait to go hunting on campus ๐Ÿ™‚

Horseradish :  I feel that if you use facebook or really any social media, you are already handing over personal information… so, it’s not like it’s that much different or scarier.

I already fell off the wagon! Darn you kids and all your free time and superior heat tolerance! ๐Ÿ™‚

All the gyms are now super strong with Pokemon you can’t catch in my area, the average player is level 18 (I’m 10), so I’m not getting much out of that aspect for now. Ran out of Pokeballs today. Also because it is so hot I don’t go out to farm the two Pokestops in my area. Have to make a downtown date with someone to harvest a better stocked neighborhood, haha.

And a Vulpix keeps eluding me. Where are you Vulpix? You are “close” on my radar but where? ๐Ÿ˜€

I play! I missed out on an onyx today. D; Saw him pop up on the nearby radar and when I went out to look for him he disappeared. But yeah my husband and I both love it and it actually has gotten us out every night for walks.

Rowanberry :  Haha a Vulpix popped up out of nowhere today and I missed my train home catching it! It was always my favourite so I’m happy!

I kid you not, I have lost 5 lbs playing.  it is the best wedding plan ever.  I use http://www.pokemonsnipe.com cause it tells me what is around me.  I literally jumped out of bed in PJs cause a pikachu spawned near me and the website showed that it would only be there for 11 more minutes.  Officially addicted.

Rowanberry :  use this for your vulpix  it will tell you exactly where it is!

You know what my boyfriend said? He said, he’d be finally ok to go to the city centre shopping with me on weekends, because he could be catching pokemon while we walk around. Never been happier with my man. LOL!

Update with my fellow Pokemon trainers!  :). I’ve had the most fun weekend with my children–something our whole family does now! We go to the park near the library where there are 6 Pokestops no more than 15 steps from each other (statutes in the park). We stop by the library to borrow books, and farm pokeballs since the library is a stop.

Outside, we play at the park with close to 200 people Friday, more on Saturday!  It was like there was an event!  Food trucks have been catching on.  On Friday there were ice cream food trucks and a lemonade stand.  Saturday there were tacos too!

๐Ÿ™‚ twice this weekend, when a Snorlax was around, my neighbor and I went out of our homes with our kids at the same time.  Given I have never spoken to this woman since I moved in, this time we rushed and hunted it together!  I guess I love how I never expected her to be a Pokemon trainer (I heard she’s a surgeon but I never fully asked yet).

I only had one Facebook hate this weekend–coming from this acquaintance I met through a mutual friend.  She stated that China is using them to spy on American people.  Sure… Niantics Lab is actually a US company based in SF, and Pokemon is originally from Japan….

I find it really amusing that people are talking about Pokémon GO players being obsessed or obsessive or out of control in this thread, when we’re on a very active forum full of (mostly) women who have hundreds, often thousands of posts talking primarily about their weddings and wedding planning…but yes, playing a game on your phone, that’s obsessive.  wink

I’d love to see a screenshot of your highest CP Pokemon! I know some of it is regional so really curious to see the differences.
