I finally had a good dress shopping experience, and managed to get photos of the top two contenders!
What do you guys think? I want to make a decision on a dress soon, and I can’t choose between these two!
Just as an extra, if I were to get the second dress, I would get it in ivory, so it would be the same colour as dress 1 🙂

Dress 2 bc dress 1 seems like its missing something

dress 1 definitely! I am not a fan of dresses that have ruching going all different ways… IMO it looks sloppy and reminds me of a toga dress. I get the feeling that dress 2 is confused as to whether it wants to be symmetrical or asymmetrical??

I like dress 2, it has a little something extra!

@LadyElva: i say keep looking dress one is kinda plain and the top of dress 2 reminds me of a prom dress no offence you have a beautiful shape im not feeling eather dress on anyone they just feel dated to me ; ( im sorry

Thanks everyone!! I’m really struggling with this – I love the detail on the first dress, but I also love that the second dress is simpler (and would need less alterations).
The more I think about it, the more I like the first dress though – The embroidery and shiny bits on it aren’t quite as eye-catching as the second dress (even though there is more of it), and I absolutely love the back of the first dress! I couldn’t even post photos of the back of the second dress just because I wasn’t particularly excited by any of them

@HisNightOwl2014: That’s alright 🙂
I’m trying to go for simpler dresses – I’m really not a fan of the big, blingy sort of thing, or styles that are too different, and the wedding is going to be a pretty casual backyard wedding, so these two should fit in with that fairly well 🙂

@LadyElva: ; ) i voted for dress 1 it looks beautiful on you

I really love dress 2. It has that wow factor. It’s really lovely and from the photos you seem more comfortable in the second one.

Dress one is ok, but no wow factor. I find with A lines, they can be a little dull if i’m honest. Dress two has a more interesting shape and the beading is very pretty. I think it makes you look more slender. Much nicer dress

@LadyElva: I love corset backs! My dress fortunately will come with it, but if it didn’t, I was going to have it altered to put it. It’s definitely most flattering in my opinion, especially since you have to order it so far in advance. I mean, who knows if you’ll gain or lose a few pounds? I’d hate to lose pounds and my dress be loose! The losing would be awesome, but it’d suck to have to have it altered last minute or something =
The second one is very interesting… but I don’t think I like it quite as much. Maybe you can do dress one and you can wear a pretty borello or wrap (especially since your wedding is in November), a slightly ornate necklace, or if you’re feeling really risky, some fingerless gloves or white henna. Winter weddings have nice accessorizing options.
However, I agree with what another person said… you have a nice figure, and I personally think you could probably find something with a bit more… pop? Bang? Wow? Not sure what word I’m looking for. Both of your dresses seem “quiet” and “subdued” to me. Like when I saw them I didn’t think “wedding dress” too much. But maybe the more simplistic style is exactly what you prefer. If so, I’d go with dress one.

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, I’ve tried the dresses with more “wow” factor, but I really couldn’t get excited about them. I’m not a dressy sort of person, so wearing a big, blingy kind of dress just looked so out of place on me, not to mention I didn’t even feel like myself while wearing it.
I hated dress shopping with a passion – the salespeople would try and upsell me all the time, saying that I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn’t buy their biggest, shiniest, most expensive dress.I’m not a princess, I’m not elegant, I’m not sexy. I’m a plain, simple tomboy who is having a casual backyard wedding with my friends, family, and the love of my life. Wearing a big shiny dress would completely ruin that for me.

Dress 2 is amazing and unique!! I vote that one but would recommend white.
