I would starve with the 1st one and the buffet options aren’t really “my jam”. The simplier sit down option sounds amazing and has things for everyone.

I voted simpler sitdown. The food sounds delicious and everyone will enjoy it!

Do you have any vegetarians attending? There didn’t seem to be many safe main course options for vegetarians, except the buffet “spinach & ricotta ravioli”. That’s the reason I voted for buffet.

I wouldn’t pick based on the menu.  Good food is good food.  Have you eaten at either of them?  If you can, eat at both of then.  Then pick the one which tastes better.  (If it’s the 2nd one which tastes better then you just have the decision of plated vs buffet.)

Side note: I frakking love chicken liver when done right!

I LOVE the sound of the first menu (fancy sit down), but it might be a bit much if your guests aren’t used to it. I know most of my family would be like ‘wtf is a mousseline’ and ‘why is my rice black (risotto)’ haha, so if I were chosing for a wedding, I’d probably say simple sit down. I hate buffets in general, and I think the sit down menu sounds really versatile.

I love the fancy menu but I recognize enough of whats listed to be comfortable ordering and dont have an issue politely asking a waiter to explain what I’m unfamiliar with. Its nice to experience new things! However, majority of my family and friends would be side eyeing me and asking where the real food is so its not for everyone. :p Not a fan of buffets at all, small weddings make no difference, so I’d choose the simpler meal to please most guests.

simple sit down appeals to me the most. I also had to google a bunch of the terms in the fancy meal. I am a picky eater, though.. but there was plenty I would eat in the simple sit down. Good Luck!!
