I really wanted to try it.  I’ve heard it’s really tough.

I’ve tried and it’s so much fun once you get past the awkwardness! I’d say totally worth and and DEFINITELY a hard workout.

I bought a groupon a while back for a weekend workshop that I will be doing in 2 weeks. I’m pretty stinking excited. I’ve never done it before though so we will see.

@guitargirl: I did it and it was definitely an amazing arm workout, but in the end decided it wasn’t for me. My friends and I ended with bruises up and down my legs that were less than flattering and I felt really awkward.

Try it out and see what you think, can’t hurt and some people love it.

It’s definitely challenging and fun, but you’ll have bruises in places that are interesting to explain, lol.

For a friends bachelorette party we did a pole dancing class.  It was an hour and it was so much fun.  We drove 2 hours for her bachelorette party because she had lived there for many years and a lot of her bridesmaids were from that town.  If we had a pole dancing class closer I’d definitely sign up.  By the end of the class we were all sweaty and my arms were shaking.  But like I said it was fun so you didn’t really feel you were working out.

Well the next day I was feeling it!  I felt like I had been hit by a bus.  My arms, shoulders and abs had definitely gotten a workout.  Since it was our first class we did the “basic” stuff and I wish I could have gone to more classes to do the advanced spins and things.  If I were you I’d TOTALLY do it, its definitely worth it for the fun you have and the workout you get.

As for the bruises, I bruise easily anyway.  But I will say the tops of my feet were definitely dark purple lol.  As well as I had some smaller bruises on the inner thighs.

I did a similar Groupon for three classes and it was a lot of fun.  Definitely a VERY good upper body workout.  Go for it!

We actually did that for my bachlorette and it was a lot of fun. Honestly it is a GREAT work out though.. my arms were so sore the next day.
