Talk to your cousin and friend. Having two should be fine. 

BTW- the Maid/Matron of Honor does not have to help you.

There was no way that I could have chosen between my two sisters as maids of honor, so I’m having both of them act in that capacity. Go for it! There’s no reason in the world why you shouldn’t have two.

whitebridetobee :  if one is married and the other isn’t then having a “maid” and then a “matron” takes out the “co” aspect of it. But I had two Matrons of Honor and they were psyched to do it together.
