YES! I'd be just as upset/sad

No...you are overreacting because it is your big day

I can really understand you. When she saw your dress, didn´t she say anything like “Hey, this is the style I´d also like for my wedding dress.” ?But don´t worry. Your dress looks much more expensive and the details are more exquisit. Like you said, that is the style at the moment, but I also have to say, that I can understand you.

Don´t worry, your hair, your make-up, your flowers and your groom will not be similar.

So no-one will recognize. Try to arrange with your cousin and you will have a lot of with in your preperation-time.

    Greetings from Austria

I honestly don’t think they’re all that much alike! Sure they have similarities but they look like two different dresses so you’ll be fine ๐Ÿ™‚

i really don’t agree with people saying “yours is way prettier than hers”. They’re cousins. no need to create competition. It’ll only get ugly.

    Yours is way prettier.

That said, I wouldn’t share any of the wedding details with her or you might just show up to your own wedding 2 months before the fact, just with different bride and groom.

If I went to both weddings, I wouldn’t even think that the two dresses looked alike at all.  I LOVE yours!!!  Good choice!  Laughing

They are totally different dresses. No one will notice. If it makes you feel better I like yours more.

To me they look a little similar, but honestly you look WAY better in your dress than she does in hers.

They are popular styles and they are off the rack.  Thousands of other brides have your same dress and she is under no obligation to limit her dress choices based on your choice.

I think they’re too different for anyone to make a connection. I tried to envision Grandma saying, “My, that dress looks just like Clarissa’s!” (seemed like a good cousin name) but I really just couldn’t see that happening at all. The only way they’re noticeably similar (besides color) is the mermaid shape, and let’s face it, most brides are getting mermaids these days. They’re in style. ๐Ÿ˜›

I wouldn’t compare them mentally at all if I saw them at different weddings… Of the weddings I’ve been to I honestly only remember the look of one dress… but side by side I like yours way better, it has some extra oomph.
