I think you are right on this, even if they are 86″ in diameter that means they are only going to hang over the edge ~1 foot.  If they are collapsable tables then you will be able to see all the metal and legs and it probably won’t look very good.  Alternatively, you could use the long tablecloths you have and get gold ties to gather the cloths around the base.  I have seen it done with cocktail tables but if your tables are center-supported I don’t see why it couldn’t work for you.

    Otherwise, get the 120s!

i agree with what he told you about the 120 tablecloths.. i personally cant stand sitting at a table with floor length table cloth, you should try this at home to see what I mean.. its like the table cloth pools on the lap and restricts your legs and its not very comfortable at all.

i think 90 inch is fine.. some people think it looks less elegant than the longer table covers but thats my preference

I think the 90 inch tablecloths are ugly. THy cut the eye line of the tables and reveal the ugly metal legs of the tables. I’ve never noticed anything annoying about sitting at a table with a full length table cloth. I think they are telling you this so that they can get around having to provide higher quality, and thus more expensive, linens.

I would go with the 120″, I don’t like the look of a short tablecloth. With 90″ clothes you would only get a little over a foot of cloth hanging down which isn’t very much.

If cost is not an issue, there is 0 question I’d go with 120″. We are paying extra for full length linens. I have never had an issue “getting all tangled up” in a table cloth and I’ve been to lots of weddings with full length linens, and I just think they look so much nicer.

I went with the 90″ so that I could save money.  I am having a more casual reception, but I highly date people are going to be talking about the length of my tablecloths.

Not only do longer tablecloths cover the table legs, they also offer privacy for the ladies wearing shorter skirts and dresses. As a guest, I have never gotten tangled up in floor length linens. I appreciate the way they look as well as the privacy they offer. I do NOT like the tablecloths in the pictures on your venue’s website.
