You might want to start a new poll with a clearer explanation of your pronunciation…

Unless you want her to constantly have to correct people (totally sucks btw) I would go with Alisa or Elisa. Alisa will still read”ah-liss-a” to most though. Personally I would do Elisa so that people read it close to Eliza which typically sounds like “ah-lie-za” anyways.

bzbride2277 :  I think most people prefer the 4th option because they assumed that it would be pronounced Ah-liss-ah.

If you’re going for Ah-lee-sa, definitely go with Alisa. That would intuitively be Ah-lee-sa.

Elisa seems most spot on, Alisa after that.

bzbride2277 :  if you are wanting a long ee sound then option  one fits best. Alyssa is like Alyssa milano which will invariably end up with people pronouncing it wrong.

Elisa might be another option for you.

My Fiance has a friend whose girlfriend is named Alyssa, but it’s pronounced Ah-LEE-suh. It drives us batty and we joke that her parents spelled her name wrong. Go with Elisa/Alisa! It will still probably get mispronounced at times, but that’s a clearer “lee” sound in the middle than your other options.
