rae718 :  I’ll be going through State Farm when I actually insure my ring.  It’s been 3 months we’ve been lazy.  I’m already missing a stove on my band, too : /

I’m unaware, but how is this different than having a lifetime protection when you purchase it? Like if it’s lost, stolen, damaged, you pay an upfront protection plan to replace it for life. Please explain the difference?

I have been meaning to do this for a while and just added it to my contents policy today. It works out to be an extra AU$10 a month so not too bad.

mrsdrake :  they’re the same thing, just upfront vs monthly. Not all jewelers offer such an awesome plan.

Yep, she itemized on our homeowners policy. Can’t imagine not insuring it.

I went through Jeweler’s Mututal. I liked that they would allow me to go back to the woman who made my ring. Allstate would not give me a straight answer about who would be replacing my ring if something happened and Jewelers mututal was only $10 more per year. No brainer!

I have a policy with Jeweler’s Mutual as well. I did a ton of research and really liked what they offered. Setting up the policy was super easy too. It was more affordable than adding it on to my homeownders. I just hope I never have to use it!

I plan to get Lavalier when my ring is finished. I calculated only $75 yearly with no deductible for a ring/jewelry with a value of $5,000. That works out to only $6.25 a month. I don’t know how much my ring is going to value at, it will most likely be less, but they’re supposed to have great coverage.
