Since I’m married and living in the same house now, writing love letters would honestly seem a bit forced, not outdated.

But during our LDR, we would write lots of meaningful texts to each other, which he started doing and which I was moved by. And when we visited each other, I would give him handwritten cards. I was surprised and touched to find that he saved my cards in a little bag in our new home. 😊

freckledfrida :  We write each other cute notes more often than letters, but my husband wrote me a very sweet letter on his birthday this year (I felt like it was my birthday, it was so sweet). I just think there’s something special about taking the time to handwrite something on pretty paper/stationary and leaving it for your love to stumble across. Never fails to warm my heart.

I love love notes! I’m a words of affirmation type so I love receiving love letters, I love him saying sweet things throughout the day, sweet text messages, and all of that. We used to be long distance and we’d send physical letters during that time. Now that we live together he’ll sometimes leave a note for me places in the house. Once, he left a note in an envelope that said “my future wife” attached to my steering wheel. I love it. I think it’s so thoughtful <3

We are doing our own vows so I am really excited for what he says then. I plan on framing our vows somewhere in our living room. 2.5 weeks to go!

We used to write letters early on in our “honeymoon stage”. Now we’ve both become just too busy and practical lol. But we do write cards for birthdays and anniversaries 🙂

I left my husband some love letters when we first began dating. We got whiteboards to tack on the fridge for studying Japanese, and I use the whiteboards to doodle and write little notes in Englishified hiragana, but they’re not really love letters; they’re just little messages reminding him about food in the fridge or a little inside joke or other cute little notes. I also have a journal that I used to write letters to him (but mostly have been used for when I am angry lol), but haven’t been picking that up recently. The one letter he wrote me, I will forever keep.

No, not really. We do write poems for every gift we give each other (birthday, holiday, etc.)

I’m an artist and a hopeless romantic so I’m always writing love letters; I can’t help it. I date them, and he keeps them in a mason jar.

I usually write them on the go in my phone when I have down time (waiting at the doctors, slow day at work, ect.) and then I transfer it over to paper. Just recently I decided on doing something different tho, we travel, so I’ll title the letter something like, “a Cozumel sunset letter” and then when he least expects it I’ll whip it out and will start reading it outloud lol….One of the many reasons why I love him is that he doesnt shoot me down for being this lame like others have done in the past.

I think it’s sweet writing love letters, but honestly any form of communication where you let your SO know how grateful you are of em is all that’s needed

I would find it pretty weird if I got something in the mail from someone I lived with.

we have a whiteboard on our fridge and like to leave each other cute notes on there

We have a notebook that we use to write notes to each other then hide it around the house for the other to find! We used to do it a lot more often, but it’s nice to find a surprise love note under my pillow!
