Hi Bees,
I’m fairly new, so if this topic has been covered and I missed it, sorry!
I’m trying to decide if I should DIY a fabric bouquet for the wedding, or if I would look at it later and regret not giving in and spending the $$ for a fresh flower bouquet. I would love to get opinions, and if anyone has used a fabric flower bouquet, DIYed or otherwise, I would love to hear about your experience and see photos!
These are some examples of the fabric bouquets that I’ve seen and loved:

@weddingbound: When I first heard of fabric bouquets, that was my inital thought – wasn’t interested. Since then, I’ve seen some gorgeous bouquets floating around. I love the look, and like the fact that you can keep them forever. I’m still scared that I would look at photos later and regret my choice, though…

I’m not doing DIY bouquets but if I wanted fabric ones (which the ones you posted are gorgeous) I’d be buying them. Some things just fall into the “don’t do it yourself” category for me, and floral arrangements are one of those! Unless you are super crafty (which I’m not and could never make something that looks as amazing as those pictures!)

@zackmarriesamber: I don’t think you’d doubut it one bit…I think the larger one in the second photo actually looks more real than the others and looks a lot like peonies…..I say get that one!
And you are so right…you can have it to keep or prob even sell and get most of your money back….win/win for sure!

I love fabric bouquets!
I seriously considered making all mine (and the bouts) but ultimately decided that I get to blow a bunch of money on fresh flowers for myself ONE DAY and I’m going to indulge and do it.
I did make a fabric/paper throw away bouquet tho!

@mrshollinger: Your toss away bouquet is awsome! That got me to thinking – I’ll make the bouquet, and if I don’t quite like it enough to use for the ceremony I’ll use it as my toss away bouquet. Great idea!

I really like the second one, but in the end it’s up to you whether you’d regret it or not. You might like having the fabric one around after to display

@zackmarriesamber: I wouldn’t say fabric flowers are my taste personally but I have seen a lot of pictures on Pinterest of fabric bouquets that look absolutely amazing and beautiful! If you have the patience to do it yourself or have a crafty and creative friend or family member I would go for it! Or as an alternative do a bouquet with broaches and pins. Here is a picture of an absolutely gorgeous fabric bouquet that I found while perusing Pinterest:

Good luck! 🙂

@mrshollinger: I think it is one of the prettiest ones I have seen, I have no idea how you make it or what materials were used. But it is just a piece of art to look at!
