(Closed) POLL: Hairy knuckles — who cares or get rid of the hair?

    Who cares! Humans have hair!

Not the most beautiful look but oh, well. It only shows in close-ups anyway.

Eww, gross, but not sure what to do about it.

Make it go away! Remove that knuckle hair!

fuchsia1027:  Haha I can so relate, especially as I have super dark hair (almost raven) and TONS of it.  I’ve always been self conscious about it and used to be much more so, but have recently accepted it. For the engagement photoshoot and wedding day I’ll probably Nair or shave it to look more aesthetic. But that’s just my personal opinion of myself. When I look at others’ pictures and see hairy knuckles, I don’t judge at all. Not my place and I really don’t think it’s a big deal.

This is HILARIOUS because I never paid attention to my knuckles until recently and almost screamed! I am planning to do a test wax and see how that goes… lol

I Nair! Not often but definitely for events where my ring might be in the spotlight!

robynrox47 – while most days I don’t care, if I’m posting ring pics or at an event where my ring is in the spotlight (engagement party, engagement photos, bridal shower, wedding, etc, etc) I make sure there is not a hair to be found on my knuckles!

I too have almost black hair naturally, so i actually shave pretty much my entire body, including my arms, because I hate having dark arm hair. I’m obviously not saying everyone should do this, it’s just what I do. I never judge anyone else’s body hair, it’s all personal preference.

I’m Italian.. need I say more?  Many moons ago my niece [up until this point the most adorable creature on the face of the earth] and I were in the car.  It was a gorgeous sunny day.. we were heading out on a daily jaunt when out of the blue she said “auntie.. you have a moustache”.

    Oh

    HELL

    no… lmfao..

Auntie doesn’t have ANY hair any more.. no lip, no chin, no cheeks [you know the baby soft fine hair] and no unibrow..and TOES! I dont have any finger hair that’s dark enough to even see.  But my toes were god only knows what.  That hair is gone gone gone.

I definitely don’t care, I can’t be bothered with shaving leg and armpit hair most of the time no way am i bothering with my knuckles, my niece pointed out my ‘moustache’ this weekend, so we just had a discussion about how people have body hair in lots of different places and that there is nothing wrong with that.  I’d have the same discussion with her if she pointed out my hairy knuckles or any other bit of me.

marriedalready69:  OMG i need this!! I am Brazilian with Italian background…yea so i think i take the cake on this one hahahha. My knuckles arent bad and i dont think i’d ever do anything to them once i am engaged.

OP- Have you tried bleaching it? Sally Hensan has a face bleaching kit thats really easy to use…If the hairs are fine, just bleach it blonde and no one will be able to see them.

I have very fire, very light hair on my knuckles. I don’t care; it’s harmless, so I leave it alone. If it were dark or thick, I’d probably remove it, but I don’t think it’s a big deal.

milabeehappy:  it was to the point I was using wax strips and or plucking almost daily on the chin, it got completely out of hand.  I was a slave to the hair.  I will say I’ve been using it for about a year now and I LOVE it.  But my girlfriend uses it as well [she’s very fair skinned with blonde hair] and she says it doesn’t work so well for her [I personally think she doesn’t follow the schedule with it but what do I know everyones body is different].  I can verify it works on toes, legs and underarms with certainty.  I’ve used it on my face and chin..gone are the days that I sit in front of that mirror every other day worrying about what’s going on under the chin or above the lip lol.  It was worth it.

fuchsia1027:  Most people that I know have body hair, so hair on the knuckles isn’t some shocking, offensive thing lol No one has ever said a word about mine and I don’t plan to do anything about it. Maybe if it were long and unruly I’d be moved to remove it.

I know hair is normal I don’t judge girls who don’t shave doesnt bother me but personally I dont like it on myself. I shave everything including my arms. Its a real pain…but just personal preference!

I have hairy fingers, which is super annoying when taking close up pictures but I forget to shave them. **shrug** first world problems.
