Solitiare! If you’re planning to have stones on the side of the ering and additional bands for stacking then the solitaire will stand out beautifully alongside those.

br80 :  They are both beautiful but I’m a solitaire girl. Think to yourself when you see a ring, which do you go, “I wish I had that”? Solitaire or halo? 😀

Take her to try some on. She won’t know what feels right until she tries them on herself.

I have a halo myself, but in this case prefer the solitaire. You said your girlfriend’s taste is modest, so a solitaire may fit better with her style, and if not, it’s easy enough to add a halo to a solitaire setting down the road.

The first pic you posted is actually the ring I originally wanted, super beautiful! I decided against it beicause it’s only 1.3mm thick…that’s crazy thin and over time it will warp and stones will get lost. I loved it but stregth is important! This is the setting I went for, really similar and you can stack stones with it. It’s 1.5mm thick, the thinnest I would go. Most jewelers will not make anything thinner for a pave band. Rosado’s box is the only maker I’ve seen that personally does it that thin, I don’t recommend it.

You can send them your diamond and they will set it for you. They have a few different versions of this setting, one that is 2mm thick and some that have more diamonds. Only propose with the ring. Let her pick what she wants to stack with. Stacks are to die for! I love this setting because rings will set flush with it for stacking.

br80 :  Loving that solitaire! For the band I definitely wouldn’t go below 2mm, especially where she is very active. I would want it to be that little more stury.
