This is my dress, casablanca 2066. I already purchased it in ivory & it came in. It fits so amazing & cannot wait to wear it in May on my wedding day!!
I already purchased this short veil here…
I still like it, but I am seeing long veils everywhere & they are so pretty.
Do yall think long veil or short veil??
Also I love sashes & I feel like it would create more of a waistline for me since I really dont have curves. I am not sure exactly if one will go with my dress or not.
This is the bodice up close… Again Im not sure how it will look with the style of the dress.
Thanks for all your help ladies!!

I love long veils but I think the short veil looks great with your dress. A long veil would cover up that beautiful train. Also, no sash. Firstly, because the dress doesn’t need it, I think your figure and waistline look great. Secondly, because of the cut of the material and the details on the bodice, a sash would not work well, IMO. The fabric is on a bias and the sash would cut that by being straight horizontal. It would also cover up the flowers that are right in the center at your waistline.

i think a single layer medium length or long veil will look great! as far as sash it may cut off the lace you have in the bodice so i would say pass.. you can bling it up with some jewelry 🙂

I think a long thin plain see-through veil will be gorgeous and won’t be thick enough to hide your train. Nice dress btw!

Thanks for the help so far! Im still unsure of what to do. My mom bought the short veil for me so I do not want to hurt her feelings if I go with a long veil, plus that would be a waste of money:(

NEED MORE VOTES PLEASE!!!

There is a lot to the dress already so no sash. As for the veil I voted just tne short veil, but it you do decide to go with a long veil I would keep it plain.

Short veil! I love the volume – no sash!

I do like the first picture, so I think you could definitely keep the short veil and it would look great! I think a long veil would also be pretty though (elbow length…no longer). But definitely….NO SASH!!

No curves?! Are you crazy! You have perfect curves!!!
I think a belt/sash would cover up the side applique and you’d lose some of the beauty of the dress. Of course, it would greatly depend on the fabric, color, and width of the belt. But I’d say no belt.
As for veils, I LOVE long cathedral veils and think it would look stunning on you! But that’s my incredibly biased opinion. 🙂 If you can’t afford a new veil, the one you have is perfectly fine.

Thank you bees!
I have definitely decided no sash. Still undecided about the veil:(
Depending on how I wear my hair, does it matter which veil I wear?

I’m not sure what your definition of “short” and “long” is as far as veils go, but I think that you should find one that falls above your bum (where the train start) and is pretty simple & flat.
The veil in the picture wouldn’t be my pick because (please forgive the ineloquence) with the poof on the bottom of your dress, the poof on the top of your head is too much. But I think a flat veil would really tie the whole thing in. It’d be beautiful. 🙂

@gangqinjia: That was one of my worries that the short one was too poufy and I didnt want it to take away from my dress. As for long I was thinking chapel or cathedral length. So confused now!! I did try one on that falls right above where the tulle starts, thats what I was originally going to go with but i dont know i feel like it didnt look right. 🙁

@angiemk47: You should go to a bridal salon, try tons on, take pictures of each, and show us. 🙂
