It looks like we are going to have 5 bridesmaids, 5 goomsmen, 4 ringbearers (the 2 younger may end up being banner bearers) and 4 flowergirls.  It may even end up being more because I’m thinking of asking one of my fsils as well since we are getting very close.  We both come from large families and wanted to include most of our siblings and if we asked a nice and nephew from one side we needed to ask one form the other and then some would be left out so we just did all of them.  They are the easiest and since we want a siple summer shift for the girls and slacks and a buttondown for the boys it won’t even cost that much.

so i heard somewhere that the general rule of thumb is to have 1 attendant on each side (bridesmaid/groomsman) for every 50 guests. but i don’t know who would ever follow that rule, as the number of bridesmaids/groomsmen should depend on who you want standing up with you when you get married, not how many people are watching!  anyway, i don’t even remember where i heard that from, but just thought i’d share. =)

our wedding had 3 bridesmaids/3 groomsmen.

I’m having 6 BMs (including Maid/Matron of Honor,) 6 on his side, a ring bearer, and two flower girls. I originally wanted four on my side but not having my 2 Future Sister-In-Law was not an option. I don’t think people should assume they’re going to be in their sibling’s wedding just because you’re family. Reason I did not choose for them to be in our wedding is b/c I am not even remotely close to them (even though we’ve known eachother for well over 7 yrs now.) The four other girls I’ve been Boyfriend or Best Friend with since childhood. Oh well, I’ll just hold my breathe and hope everything runs smoothly that day.

You can imagine how hard it was to find a florist that would cover all of our attendants for the right price. =X

4 groomsmen

4 bridesmaids… Like NiftyBa, all of them are maids of honour, I couldn’t choose between them! In the program I think I will list each one as "Maid of ____", like Fun, Adventure, etc., to go with their unique and amazing personalities!

1 girlfriend doing a reading

No kids

Amen, NorCalBride!  Future Sister-In-Law is screwing up everything, but I know Future Mother-In-Law will spit fire if she isn’t included.  Once we actually started talking wedding, Future Mother-In-Law said, "Well Fiance has always wanted to have his sister as his best man."  I wanted to look at her and say, "Really because just yesterday we were discussing which of his buddies he would choose."  I held my tongue…
