baileybagels :  yes it is rose gold 😊 I love rose gold and couldn’t picture myself with an engagement ring of any other metal. I don’t wear a lot of jewelry which is why I think I feel blinged out at times but I do love it ❤️

chitownyogini :  Thank you! I’m still debating whether to get the band a tad thinner, but I might just get a thicker wedding band to offset it.

I’d say mine is pretty average/middle ground as far as what my friends and those around me have. Anywhere from 1-2 carats is normal. Mine is 1.6!

baileybagels :  Mine is a 1.64 ct solataire with a cushion halo. I orginally wanted a cushion, but after seeing that I could get a bigger carat with a solatiare we went this route.

My center stone is 2.33 carats and we were looking at oval and pear cuts (the later which we chose) as I particularly like elongated diamond cuts.

I think carat size comes down to personality, style and budget. I personally wanted something classic hence why we focused on a larger centre stone with little baguettes to compliment.

OP Have you got your ring yet or are you currently looking?

baileybagels :  I think you should make separate polls for diamond vs diamond alternative!
