Three, but only so I could try them on and decide which I wanted.  They were from a store in LA and I don’t live anywhere near there.  did the same with bridesmaid dresses.  The one I wanted the most was the right pick all along anyway.

I only purchased one. I tried on about 20 (10 at each store) then gave myself a few days to think about it. One dress stuck out in my mind during those few days. Then I took my mom, moh, and 3 bridesmaids to the store that had my favorite dress. I tried on a few for them but everyone loved the one I loved

Tried 10, bought 1. Didnt try any after buying the one.  Wedding dresses are like men.. you can try all you want but once you pick the one quit trying other one on, comparison is the thief of joy.

Just one. I fell in love with it and actually looked for it online (preowned) for 3 months. Couldn’t find it in a size and price to justify getting it preowned. There was one in a size 14, regular length, for $800. I needed it in the petite length, size 10, and got a deal to buy a new one, in my size, plus $300 worth of accessories thrown in for free, all that for $1019. I had to give in… lol

I voted 2. I bought one online for a bargain and wasn’t thrilled. So I returned it and purchased my dream dress!

Three. But I was totally into vintage and Etsy dresses and such. So there was no store to go try them on. One arrived and was not white enough. Two, looked like a weird type of curtain. Three was perfect and its my dress!!!! I did not try on any other dresses apart from these

    Bought one.

I stopped trying and and looking after I bought my dress.

I don’t have the budget to buy more than 1 dress so the one I picked is it. It’s a dress I’ll wear for one day.

I bought two, because I dropped weight unexpectedly to a degree that was going to be difficult to accommodate for with last minute tailoring. It happened that the second one had been my top pick, but had been too expensive to justify at the time. A year later it had gone on sale, so it all worked out.

OMG I thought I was the only person that’s ever done that. I bought my first dress from a sample sale that I went with my mom and my future Mother-In-Law. They both liked it and I was worried I wouldn’t find another one like that. Then i started speaking with my hubby and we decided that we wanted some formal pictures done and it would be at Casa loma (historical castle) in Toronto. So my first dress now did not fit the venue… so we started looking again. Then found one that everyone would love (only i wasn’t in love withit.) bought it. Then my Maid/Matron of Honor came back into town and for the sake of our friendship, we went shopping again (this time was supposed to be for fun… ) of course me being me and already not happy with Dress number 2, I caved to the pressure and bought dress number e… Which was a mermaid, (i wanted a ballgown)… luckily I was able to go back and exchange it for a ballgown (dress 4 but really dress 3) a few weeks later… I thought i was done…

Then my hubby to be and I were talking and he mentioned that he wanted me to be 100% sure and happy and knew that I had a dream dress I’ve always wanted… he conveinced me to get dress 4 and nevermind what anyone else says… I should go with what I want… so that is how I now have dress 4 (5) and trying to sell the other 3. Go figure…

Kicker in all this… i’m 100% not a girly girl and never in my entire life did I ever think i would ever get myself in this position… but i’m kinda relieved to hear that I”m not the only one…

Oh ya… I also discovered i LOVE wedding gowns… lol.

here are the dress (Sorry about the big pics)

Dress 1 (left) Dress 2 (right)

    Dress 3 (exchanged)

Dress 4 (exchanged from dress 3) – picked up at home right now.

Dress 5 – Dream dress Definitely wearing this one and no more looking!

I guess with modern society everything seems so disposable with e based commerce and such  Maybe that’s why marriages and such seem like hey no longer ar so firmly rooted.

Even though it is much easier to sell things online multiple dresses seems a bit silly.  I understand morso the easy to return dresses when you can’t try it on because it is online but otherwise, brides get it together.

THe dresses are all quite nice. I think the dress no. 3 the Vera Wang I believe is most flattering on you though.  The pouff is too much random pouff and tends to make you look bigger not that you are.  i t is not as figure flattering.  But if you are happy that is what counts.  And I think the dress on the hanger will be more flattering than the ball gown before.

Chris4 :  If i could do it all over again, I definitley would have listened to myself rather then everyone else. As much as I would love to turn back time sadly enough it cannot be done. I think that’s what happens a lot of the time. Weddings and dress shopping is often a very emotional event (at least it was for me)… i wanted to make sure it was perfect but instead of listening to myself I tried to please everyone else.

I don’t think any one sets out intending to buy more then one dress… but with family/friends getting involved and in the heat of the moment, I got swept away… maybe some other brides know exactly what they want and how to stick with their guns…

The last dress is actually my dream dress and I will most definitely be wearing that one… dress 3 was actually the one that my Maid/Matron of Honor loved and I really liked it too… but my heart was still set on the ballgown…. plus I think everyone’s taste in fashion is different and that’s probably why it was so hard to decide… Hard lesson to learn and hopefully i can pass this knowledge to another bride… Get what YOU want and not what everyone else likes.
