I’m just curious to see how many bees didn’t feel any symptoms or didn’t feel pregnant before they got their BFP. OR, Did you feel unusul symptoms that you didn’t realize was related to the pregnancy until after? And I’m only talking about during the TWW, before you took a test.
It might help us symptom spotters to calm down! 😉
(and I’m genuinely curious)

I just felt like I was about to get my period, i.e I had premenstrual cramping on two occasions. It was identical . like, I was convinced I was getting my period both times. I actually drank cocktails in self-pity!

I had cramping both times, that I now know was implantation, but typically for me, I get similar cramping due to cysts, so I didn’t necessarily think it was a pregnancy symptom. I am pretty much symptomless until around 5-6 weeks.
There were cycles before I got pregnant that I had more “pregnancy symptoms” than when I actually was pregnant!

I didn’t feel any pregnancy symptoms until I was 9 weeks, let alone before my bfp!

Just to clarify my poll/question a little, by normal I mean cramping, nausea, spotting, etc. that happens to many pregnant women.
by rare/unusual I mean something weird that doesn’t happen often like fainting, bloody nose, etc

I don’t know how to respond because the first time all I had was the super sniffer (increased sense of smell) that made me test. This time around I had nothing, nada, zilch, so 50/50.

Well, everyone’s “normal” is different. For instance, I usually just have cramps that get worse and worse until I see blood. This time, I had very mild cramping that never got worse and no blood ever came. That’s what made me test. And the cramping came right when my period was due, nothing at all before then.

My husband and I were told by our doctors that we probably wouldn’t be able to get pregnant, so the idea of being pregnant didn’t really cross my mind. In fact, when I was 3 weeks along I had a dream about having two children and when I woke up I told my husband about it. We both thought it was just a crazy dream. Then at 5 weeks, I went to the urgent care because I thought I had a case of stomach flu. Turns out, I was pregnant with twins. I think part of the reason I didn’t recognize these signs is because of what we were told by our doctors and the fact that we weren’t really trying. I would imagine that if someone was actively TTC, they may be more aware of their symptoms.

true! I guess I mean “typical” symptoms like cramping, spotting, etc. 🙂

The cycle I got pregnant I had spotting at 4 dpo which was implantation bleeding. Then I had cramps. But what really made me sure I was pregnant was that my areolas darkened and my nipples and breasts were very very sore. I knew I was pregnant before I tested. I just had this feeling.

I actually thought that I was getting sick. The week before I was supposed to get my period I felt painfully tired ALL THE TIME! Then I started to feel sick and nausous all the time. I actually kept telling my DH “I know I’m coming down with the flu!” Then at work on a Friday it just hit me “I’m late.” I got off of work and ran to the store grabbed a test and took it at home. When it came back positive I was so shocked! My DH and I weren’t trying so I was not expecting this. I called my DH at work and was crying, it took a little bit for it to really sink in. Currently 20+ weeks with a baby boy!! Never been happier in my entire life. Congrats to all the expecting Momma’s and prayers to all those TTC =)

I should have said “other” but voted “symptoms.” That’s because I was fairly confident about what they meant.

I voted unusal symptoms because I usually get cramps a day or two before AF shows up and I had none at all. I also had a cold when I got my BFP and I hadn’t had a cold in probably close to a year. My period was 5 days late and that is why I tested. I got my BFP a few days after Christmas and my cold started on Christmas Eve. So it’s hard to say if my cold came on due to being pregnant or because it was cold season.

i didn’t feel pregnant… i hated one particular smell and that’s the only reason why i decided to take the test. lol and my husband kept saying “i think you’re pregnant. i think you’re pregnant” for like 3 days.

The ONLY symptom I had until almost 6 weeks was a weird metallic taste in my mouth around 10-11DPO. But I knew that was a pregnancy thing from hearing other people say it. I think if I’d not known that was a pregnancy thing I wouldn’t have even noticed it and would’ve said I felt 100% normal.
