LaurenMJ:  I wore my retainer for 10 years, and when I stopped wearing them cus the retainers were getting old looking, and I hadn’t been to the orthodontist in years, my bottom teeth started shifting. 🙁 They now stick out but not as bad as it originally was.

I had them 10 years ago. They were straight. But mine have now shifted because I’ve gained 3 wisdom teeth and my 4th is coming through.

Id like Invisalign but not til I’ve paid my grad school fees.

I still wear my retainers, but the top one has been replaced with a thicker one because of teeth grinding.  My teeth look nice and straight but my bite is horrible.  I would probably have to get braces again to really fix it but I don’t think it is worth it.  I had braces probably close to 20 years ago now?

I was pretty careful with following the instructions, and I’ve definitely noticed a shift. I probably got the braces off about 8ish years ago and stopped wearing the retainer about 6ish years ago. It’s nothing that really bugs me, but my teeth have shifted enough where my retainer doesn’t fit them anymore because they’re just too far off.

I had braces for about two years, and I got them off when I was about 13…so they’ve been off for 16 years.  I wore my retainers at night for a few years, but they eventually didn’t fit comfortably and my teeth would hurt after wearing them (so clearly I had some shifting), so I quit.  Although my teeth have shifted some, they’re still very straight, so I’m happy with the results 🙂

I had to quit treatment early because of cancer. My teeth are fairly straight but I do have a couple teeth on the bottom that shifted. Most people cant notice it, but compared to my perious set of teeth anything is a major improvement.

I had braces for about 1.5 years in middle school. They’ve been off for about ten years, and I haven’t really noticed a shift. People always comment on how straight my teeth are. I still wear my top retainer every night. I stopped wearing the bottom one about 3 years ago because I got my bottom wisdom teeth out, and all of my teeth seemed to shift, but they are still straight.
