@Buttercupmcgee:  no I wont buy til like fall early winter but I am thinking three quarter sleave lace. I’ve seen some I like but since i haven’t been proposed to I can’t officially look yet. hehe

And yes your style does seem quite similar to mine. It’s nice to see a kindred spirit!

@VossinatorsButterfly:  It’s true! on the dress shows girls always (well not ALWAYS) look like they have to waddle iin those. It is no wonder so many of them need a different dress for the reception!

You look more to me of a simple and feminine type.  You look just like Zooey D, btw!  I love the updo inspiration in the first look – can’t you do something like that with a simple and feminine gown but not a birdcage veil?

The thing about the vintage is that if it isn’t ALWAYS your style, I feel like it’s a bit “trendy” now and it’s not as classic as the simple and feminine look.

I also think that you can play up the simple and feminine look and make it fun, too!

I think you can def rock the vintage look, but I vote for the simple look. I agree with PPs that it may be your style now, but that may change in 5 or 10 years. You don’t want to look at your pictures in 10 years and wonder what you were thinking -just my 2 cents from experience

You look just like Zooey D. could be a celebrity impersonator! WoW! I love the first look best, but are you getting married in a warm location? Just don’t want you to be chilled. A short dress is great – my SIL had a short dress for her wedding and it was stunning! Either look is great though!

Could you not do feminine and vintage?  I could see you combining elements of both.  I voted for number 2.

I voted vintage and tea-length. I don’t think long dresses suit parks and espeically not taco vans.

It doesn’t have to be cutesy – just look at that Audrey Hepburn style dress.

But then I think your long flowy dress idea could also work.

Another option is – instead of 1950s vintage, which is what most people seem to go with for short dresses, how about 1960s or 1970s? Would add a casual, vintage vibe without going overboard on cute. There’s some ideas on these two pages:

I think that a 1960s/1970s style would suit your look, with the bangs you have. Here’s an example of the sort of dress you could choose (from BHLDN):
