Just use the chairs they supply you with and cover them.

for me it would depend on the price difference. If the chivari chairs are more expensive than the folding ones i would just stick with the folding style. If they are the same price, then i might look kind of interesting.

The beige chairs have got to go – I’d personally avoid chair covers at all costs – but thats my personal preference!  I love the idea of mixing and matching!  At first I thought no way – but when I saw the pics and they were both white I think it will look really cute with your theme!

When you describe mismatched china and bird cages my mind automatically likes the garden chairs much much better than chivari chairs.  I feel like chivari are more suitable for a glitz and glam wedding or a very vintage or french inspired wedding.

    I agree with lalylayla –

use the garden chairs – more for shabby chic theme and pizzaz them up with lace and a flower across top back of chair.  You needn’t spend more on the chiavari’s.  the accessories, in this case can carry the theme.  the chairs needn’t follow.

If it was assigned seating… and I was at the table with the fold up garden chairs while others sat in those nice comfy ones, I would feel slighted… have them all the same chairs.

I’d just use the garden chairs.  I think it’d look better to have all the chairs matching.  You said some other stuff is mismatched so I wouldn’t wanna overdo it necessarily.

@MLDoddie: and  @happyface:  In all honesty, the most comfortable looking chairs would probably be the less attractive beige ones, since they have padding on the back and the seat.  The prettiest chairs — the chiavari style — look beautiful but probably would be even more uncomfortable than the folding “garden” style chairs, since they offer no padding on either the back or the seat, while the garden chairs do have a small amount of padding on the seat.
