Love the shape of the L stones.  The color works too

Are you looking for the sides to offer contrast or blend? If you are looking for contrast, I’d want to see the center in yellow/rose gold and the rest in white metal. If you are looking for a more seamless look, I’d go with the Ls and all one color metal.

You can’t go wrong with either set but I prefer the shape of the L’s, due to them being shorter and fatter. This will be beautiful!

I agree about the L stones. I think their shape and colour will look the best next to that stunning main stone. Can’t wait to see the completed ring!

I voted for L and DANG that is one THICC chunky moval stone, just to die for! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ are you setting it in yellow gold as well? I think it would look beautiful in a white metal too, can’t go wrong with a stone like that haha

KKJohnson :  Holy mackerel, 4.67 cts?! What a find! I love colored gold, my ring is rose gold ๐Ÿ™‚ I think yellow and rose gold are definitely very “in” right now, but they are also timeless and so classy!

KKJohnson :  If blended, then I’d vote for the Ls in a warm metal. Yellow or one of the shades of yellow that are a bit pinkier. I’m not sure you will like those stones in american 14k rose gold – it would again offer a strong contrast (like a white metal).

Here is a O/P OMB on a yellow gold shank with platinum prongs. Especially for an older stone, and unless the mixed metals would drive you nuts, I’d use white prongs to help reflect white light back into them as this setting does.

L for both shape and harmony of colour. It’s going to be a gorgeous ring!
