We are paying $400 for 3 total hours of wedding photography. I’m not sure how much editing is done, but we get the digital images on USB flash drive and several DVDs. The pictures in his portfolio aren’t super artsy frilly, but the pictures look very nice.

I don’t think mine would be a fair comparison to most but ours is $700 for 4hours and we get a DVD with the pictures on it. My mom is a photographer so she has connections.

Our photography package was slightly under $3k, and included two professional photographers for 8 hours on the wedding day, our engagement photoshoot & photos, the travel expense (our wedding was out-of-area), rights to the edited images, unlimited images in digital format, and I believe some prints? It’s been a while though so I’m a little fuzzy on the details.

I am in Houston and we are paying $2,200 for 7 hours of coverage on our wedding day (6 hours with the second shooter) and 2 hour engagement session.  This comes with all of the images from the wedding day and engagement session on a USB with printing rights.

bonnielass1979:  we’re paying $1300 for 8 hours of coverage, a gurantee of 1400 photos all edited on a usb Drive within 3 weeks, and an 11″x14″ canvas print of our choice. This is in RI. We found our photographer on thumbtack.com and she is significantly cheaper then a lot of photographers in the area but her work is fantastic!

We are paying $3050+tax, which includes engagement session with edited photos & 16×20 print, Bridal session with edited photos & 16×20 print, 2 photographer for 7 hours of coverage, and an hour ‘day after’ session. 16×20 wedding portrait, 30 page wedding album, and 600 fully edited photos from the wedding. This is in MS, and we found her through a bridal show. We are def. paying more than we ever would have thought but we figured that it’s the only thing we are going to have (tangible) to remember everything by!

We’re paying about $700 for our photographer. We will have about 6 hours of coverage and her price includes a disc with all the digital files edited. We will have the ability to print them wherever we like as well.

I just lucked out and found a photog that just relocated to our area and is trying to basically rebuild her business since she is new to the area. So we are getting 9 hours of coverage, a 2 hour engagement session, a bridal portrait  package, 700-1000 digital images all retouched, and online proofing gallery, a dvd, a $75 print credit, and full rights all for $1300. Others in my area are starting around $2800 for just a basic package.

To really get any benefit from this thread it will be helpful to see links to the photographers. Otherwise just listing prices without seeing the quality of work and the quality of products being received is just numbers that won’t give you much of an idea of cost vs quality.
