Married ladies, I would love to see some wedding pictures with fake eyelashes!
Feel free to vote in the poll.
I had my hair and makeup trial this weekend which was a blast. I was daring and tried falsies for the first time! I was intimidated because I have seen LARGER THAN LIFE sized eyelashes but wearing a smaller pair I actually kinda loved them :]
I never thought this would be something I would want to do! I think they would look glamorous when my dress is actually on. I think I would rock them, but since this is new and something I never wear, I also wonder would I look back and feel weird deviating from the norm?
What are your thoughts? Anyone doing/not doing fake eyelashes and why!

I’m wearing fake lashes for the wedding just because they do make such a huge difference! Of course you’ll want the natural looking ones, but I can’t recommend them enough.
This is from an inspiration photoshoot that I modeled for last year as my wedding isn’t for another 23 days, but here’s some pics of with individual false lashes.
Normal day to day (no makeup or false lashes)

I’m going to wear them- I have in the past and I’m comfortable with them. I get the “short” ones, which are still very long IMO, and I think they look great.
I was blessed with thick dark hair on my head but literally nowhere else. This means I have wimpy little eyelashes (although, I guess it’s easier to wear mascara than deal with hairy arms so I shouldn’t complain!). I really need the definition for my eyes, especially in photos.
For anyone concerned about it looking fake, I would suggest individual lashes. They’re basically clumps of like 7 lashes that you can position individually. They’re harder to put on but they really give a natural look. You can get them in the drugstore (Ardell is the brand).

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
Wore individual false lashes and loved them. They were key in making my eyes pop in photographs.

I love fake lashes and will absolutely be wearing them for my wedding! I would wear them everday if I could put them on myself. If it wasn’t so over the top for me, I would even get eyelash extensions, but they require so much mainentance.

When I was a bulesque performer I met with a lovely lady named Candy Baby Carmelo…she was a pretty notorious burlesque dancer in the the 60s.
I remember her bringing up the topic of makeup and she touched on the subject of false lashes.
“You can’t go on stage without false eyelashes, if you don’t wear them the person in the back of the room CAN NOT see your eyes.”
A wedding certainly isn’t a burlesque show but in alot of ways it is a production and the people in the back of your room/church whatever want to see your face. Eyelashes open your eyes and make them look much bigger and more glamorous. There are always many ways to wear them without looking like a drag performer.
All of my bridesmaids and me will be wearing them.
I’m not married yet but here is an example of me with every day makeup and with full makeup and falsies.
lol sorry this was so long…i’m clearly really into fake eyelashes.

@AmyFarrahFowler: I got eyelash extensions once and it was SO much work. They looked amazing though!

I hated the idea of false lashes until they put them on me in my trial. I looked like a mother effing princess :0D
Now I’d be so disappointed if they didn’t put them on me. They really made my eyes pop.

I’m definately wearing them for the wedding. I’m getting married in 10 days so I’ll post a pic after the wedding, but I just ordered some more online and should have them in the mail today 🙂

also I highly highly reccomend getting top quality lashes. the shit from the drug store is crap and it hurts your eyes.
I reccomend Make Up Forever eyelashes. Mac is good too.
They can be used over and over again after your wedding too.

If false eyelashes bother you, try Chanel mascara. People think I wear false eyelashes.

I plan on wearing them because not only do they look amazing, I know for a fact I am going to cry so with fake lashes there will be no worry about my mascara running.. and I hate waterproof mascara, it makes my lashes fall out

Yes but only the individual ones, not the long catapillar ones. They tend to look stuck on and extreme rather than just emphasising the lashes.
