I love the headpiece!  Wear it all day!  With the veil and without it.  I think it makes your whole look more unique!

I’m sorry but I agree with whoever said it was too much. That dress looks AMAZING on you!

the headpiece is too much for the dress cuz it has the flower in the front. Maybe a simpler headpiece… A crystal piece on one side And not one that has beads in the front maybe.

    Hmm …

I adore your dress! The sleeves, the flower, the lace … it has kind of a 1940’s vibe, or maybe 1930’s. It also has a very sweet, fresh and innocent feel.

I do like the headpiece – on its own. It’s got more of a 1920’s feel, and seems more glamorous and sophisticated.

The two together … feel like you are going for ‘retro’ without defining it quite well enough, and mixing two eras that are different enough that they don’t quite work. If you had a slinky satin bias-cut dress, the headpiece and veil would be fabulous, but I don’t think it works with this dress. Even without the flower, the dress’ silhouette is still more 30’s/40’s and is the wrong texture of fabric for the headpiece to complement it.

@vagabondette:  I love the dress and you in it, and think that your bridal look is beautiful without the headpiece.  I voted no headpiece, and I think a veil only for just the ceremony might be nice, but isn’t necessarry.  That said, it’s your day and if you dream of a headpiece, you should wear one and feel fabulous.

Is the flower removable? Can we have a pic without the flower? Or what if the chain bit went around the back? I think headpieces and veils can look lovely together…

These pics below are headpiece & veils inpirations I love!

I’m against both the headpiece and the flower. Awesome dress!

first of all, you look beautiful!  I love your dress, veil, and headpiece!  But, maybe the headpiece is too much with the flower?  I think if there was no flower on the dress then the whole look would be PERFECT!  If you are set on the flower then I think probably no headpiece, or one that doesn’t have the beads draping over your forehead.  Regardless you’re going to be beautiful!

@vagabondette:  You’re welcome! They are both really lovely pieces. But, alas, sometimes two individually lovely pieces just don’t go together the way we would like them to. *le sigh*

For the record, I do think that veil with a different floral headpiece would be stunning. Something delicate, softer and less bejeweled – think little silk rosebuds and ribbons, maybe sprays of pearls, rather than rhinestones and strings of beads.

I’ve seen people wear this type of headpiece but it is the other way around ie the chains are at the back of your head that might tone it down but still fit your theme?
