We can choose up to three main courses to try at our menu tasting, and wanted to get an idea of which options sound the most appealing so we can make sure to taste the top 3 options. Thanks in advance!
FYI – we have a couple of vegetarians that will be attending, and special meals will be prepared for them aside from what I have listed.

PinkCat : I like the sound of the Chicken, Shrimp and Beef !

I voted herbed chicken because I don’t like to have heavy or fatty meals sitting in my stomach when I’m drinking and dancing. And I love chicken!
My second choice would be the shrimp and third would be medallions.

Creole shrimp IF the grits are cooked right…not hard to make but you’d be surprised at how often people screw it up. Blackened chicken and beef medallions. But I’d need to taste everything first and that might change my choices. 😄

PinkCat : I voted for the beef medallions but honestly I don’t care for most foods cooked in wine – it often ruins them for me. Also don’t like shrooms, so apparently I voted just based on the word beef, lol. Most of the ones I would eat, piccata for example, are just boring – any chance your place can step it up a bit? Do they (hopefully) come with pasta or something else to eat as well?

skunktastic : My venue has said they can create a custom menu for us if we want to modify some of the dishes. Our package includes one starch and one vegetable, as well as bread and butter and a salad. The starches and veg all sound pretty good and filling.

I voted for the herbed chicken breast, mostly because chicken is favourite and it sounds delicious lol (by far my preferred option of all the chicken dishes). The other 2 options I’d personally go with would be the beef medallions and Jamaican pork loin. I’m not big on seafood as I have a shellfish allergy, so I’m biased here lol.

Fish is a great choice, but the description is lacking. For that reason, I’d choose shrimp as the seafood option.

craigslistgirl : Unfortunately, that’s all the description there is of the fish on the menu they gave us 🙁

Beef medallions/shrimp and grits/blackened chicken would be my choices. I’m not a big chicken fan and herbed chicken sounds kinda boring and bland. And dry.
I once went to a wedding that had no menu card or dinner choice, so we had no idea what we were eating. We all thought it was turkey and it ended up being pork. So weird…..
