I’m old to the Wedding Bee forum have since gotten married (last year in August). Just wanted to say firstly- hang in there! 🙂
Been thinking about anniversary gifts lately and if I want to ask for a second diamond band to stack with my exsisting set. I don’t think I’ll be asking it for our first anniversary but maybe for the 2nd or 5th? Just something to look forward to.
Here’s my current engagement ring and wedding band (sometimes I wear it upside down like this but most of the time right side up)
I don’t want to sound shallow but I do love the way these diamonds sparkle! I was very concerned looking for suggestions to the then fiancee about it being ‘too sparkly’ but I have since decided I’m not sure if it can sparkle enough! 😉
So I’ve been thinking about getting a second ring to stack up on it. With my awful computer skills I have fashioned a crude rendition of what it would look like if I went with something the same as my wedding band.
But I’m thinking that might be too ‘matchy matchy’. I was also considering a band similar to the curved one but straight across or a band a little funkier.
So what do you guys think? Any other suggestions?

I really like the matching look!

I really like the matching set. I think it would look lovely.

i really like it with the identical band on the other side.

I, too, LOVE the matching look!

I love the stacked look, and I never thought I would…but it makes it easier to mix and match. That being said, my sister in law has a similar e ring to yours and got an enhancer that looks like 2 of your wedding bands, one on either side (not exact, but similar enough to give me an idea). I think it really looks beautiful together, but she has said that she gets a lot of people who think it’s all one ring and ask when the wedding is or why she doesn’t have a wedding ring. I say, forget people like that because someone ALWAYS has a comment, just thought I’d throw it out there

sondrapants: I like the symmetry of having two matching bands on each side of your e-ring. I think it looks very elegant.
@KateRBels: I have an enhancer, but I’ve never had anyone make comments about it such as they’ve made to your sister. Tell her not to listen to them!

I would normally say go with one of the gorgeous Brillant Earth rings (I prefer straight bands & non matchy ring sets), but I think it would look odd with the band you already have. So I agree with everyone else if you’re set on getting another band. If not, I’d leave it the way it is.
Your engagement ring is to die for btw!

@KateRBells @Loribeth @Rachgirl82 Thank you! I think I have decided that getting anything besides the curved ring would look odd. I wasn’t 100% sure on what I wanted for a wedding ring so I keep on wanting to encorporate the straight band and (especially) the tiara band.
Maybe the tiara band would make for a better right hand ring. If I feel like it I could stack it up on my wedding ring finger but wear it on my other hand more often than not.

It would be a great right hand ring stacker, plus on days where you don’t feel comfortable wearing your e ring you’d have a flat band to wear 🙂

normailly i would say to get something completely different. maybe diamonds that are in bezel set, or different shaped diamonds in a different color gold. but…. since your first ring is curved to fit w/your e-ring, having another one to match would look great! (and there is no such thing as too much sparkle!)

@sondrapants: So I am very curious to hear if you made a decision…I have a similar issue. I am trying to decide whether to purchase another (matching) contour band or a different straight band.
