I always told myself I wanted kids in my mid-20s… My mom was 38 when she had me and we didn’t have a great relationship, which I attributed to the age difference. But then I started dating my FH at 24, and didn’t end up graduating school until I was 27. We will be getting married next October, at 29 (FH will be 27), and really want to pay off my student debt + FH’s car loan before starting TTC, which we estimate will take about 4 more years… so will probably start around 33/31. Or if we want to take a risk and assume it will take a while to conceive, we might start at 32/30… Owning a house first isn’t important to us.

My husband and I started dating when we were 24, engaged at 28, married at 30, started trying at 31 and got pregnant and had our son at 32. Wouldn’t change the timing at all. We’re both well established in good careers and all student debt (our only debt) will be paid off next year. And we’ve traveled all over the world (though we hope to keep that up even now that we have a child). We still rent a house because we aren’t sure how much longer we’ll be in our current city, but we’re okay with that.

We’re also 23 and getting married next May. We plan on trying around 27-28, by that time we’ll have been together for 10 years. We plan on buying a house within the next couple of years, but we haven’t settled on a location so it’s hard to buy a house when we dont know where we’re gonna end up. We’re currently renting a 3bedroom so if it happened before we would be okay, but I’d prefer to own. We want 4 and to be done by 35 so we’ll see lol. One of my friends who is only a couple of months older than me has a 3 and 2 year old and I couldn’t imagine!!

Ideally I’d like to start TTC at 26/27 and have at least 2 kids by 30. Barring infertility issues, I plan on getting my tubes tied at 35. I know more and more people are waiting until mid 30s to have kids but I just cant see myself being 40 with a toddler.

I met my husband later in life (39) and we just got married in June so I didnt have a choice in the matter., I wanted to start trying before we got married but he felt strongly that he wanted to wait. If it ismeant to happen..it will. We would be tired but also good parents..I just know it!

Darling Husband and I are both 23, we recently got married in September but have been together for 6 years now. We plan on enjoying the first year of marriage on our own and possibly start TTC after that point. So we would potentially be 24/25 by the time we TTC, of course this all depends on finances and our home situation. We both currently have full time careers straight out of college so as of now we are financially stable but we are saving up for a house and would really like to be moved in to our home before TTC. So we have just about a year to save up a good down payment on a home and then start TTC 🙂

We’ve been married just over a year and I’d like to start trying now, but I’m a bit overweight so I want to shift that before pregnancy makes me pile it all back on! I’ve started doing Slimming World, only a few weeks in but so far so good, so hopefully next year we’ll be able to start trying. I’ll be 29 in January so ideally I’d like to be pregnant by 30.

Darling Husband & I became homeowners at age 22, got married at 23 after being together for 6 years, I was pregnant with Dear Daughter by our first anniversary at 24, had her a month after I turned 25. We’re now both 26 and TTC baby #2. We want a big family and I’m dealing with secondary RPL. So “advanced maternal age” is not always the only issue people have even with one healthy prengnancy under their belt. Just goes to show you really never know! I wanted to be done having kids by 32 but who knows if that is a possibilty now.

I was 32.  We were waiting until after the wedding to ttc.  But surprise! 6 days before the wedding I got a BFP.

We are thinking we will start to ttc #2 when I’m 35 (I turned 33 the month after the BFP.  So I chose 33 + in the poll.)

We’re getting married July 7, 2017. Will be TTC right away. Ill be 32 at that point, 33 when baby is born if we are sucessful right away. And we want to have another one by the time I’m 35-36. Fiance is 8 years older than me so he’s been wanting kids for a loooong time now. I just started a new job, tryjng to lose weight and get healthy before the wedding and the baby. We are trying to pay off consumer debt before we start a family too. And grow a little baby fund so we can pay for all the baby stuff we need without getting back into consumer debt.

Met Darling Husband just before I turned 36. Got married at 38. Got my BFP a few days after turning 39. Dear Daughter is now 16 months. I’ll be 41 in just over a week and 5 weeks along with baby #2.

Is this what I would have planned? Nope, but I’m sure happy that I waited for the right guy!
