Can’t go wrong, but the third sounds delicious.

Yeah those all sound fantastic but I love me some lemon/raspberry combo!

lemon raspberry all the way, especially if you can serve it with fresh fruit.  Vanilla is lame and rum cake can stand on its own two feet – I feel like the icing would ruin it.

Lemon for the win! Not everyone’s cup of tea though. My sister in law thinks anything lemon flavored tastes like pledge. Lol. I, on the other hand, could eat lemon curd straight from the jar.

That rum cake with almond sounds amazing, and would be perfect for a fall or winter wedding. As a guest, there’s no way I’d pass that up! Yum ❤

Vanilla is always a safe bet, and a really good, rich, quality vanilla is SO GOOD.

Buuuut if you ask me, citrus fruits have no business in a cake recipe. Something about a dense, moist cake texture and tart lemon flavor just clashes, in my opinion. Lemon icing can be really good and fresh (especially for a spring or summer wedding), and lemon and raspberry together is a great combo, but lemon cake is pretty…well, you either love it or you hate it. It’s like red velvet or carrot cake. I’d be far more likely to go for vanilla cake with raspberry filling and lemon icing, personally, but as a guest I’d definitely pass on lemon cake.

I can’t stand lemon cake- it reminds me of chemicals. I know a lot of people love it, though! The other two sound amazing, though (as long as you don’t have any nut allergies)!

Go with your heart!  I had a strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting.  I mean hello risk!  But it was my wedding dammit!

I would take a slice of lemon and my fiancé would take a slice of vanilla and then we’d have half of the other person’s so we got both  😁 I would personally pass on the rum because I hate the taste of rum, but that’s just a weird hang up of mine.

That’s great you get to have so many flavors!

rubberducky :  We had lemon cake with huckleberry filling and vanilla frosting at our wedding in June, and I was worried about it being too particular of a taste to please everyone but it was a HIT. I voted for lemon raspberry!

We are having three tiers, with vanilla buttercream covering the outside of the whole cake:

    1. White cake with lemon curd and raspberry jam fillings (alternating between cake layers)

    2. Marble cake with chocolate pudding filling

    3. White cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberry filling

I voted for the lemon-raspberry option in the poll!
