I am curious what is the earliest time you gave ever lined up outside a store before opening for Black Friday. Have you ever tried for a big door buster? Do you have any plans for this Black Friday?
personally I did 2 hours once, got the camera I was hoping for, but that was a good 10 years ago, these days I am more of a cyber monday person.

Ugh never! My mom and I will often go out at like 3 PM after everyone else has gone home haha! I hate shopping in crowds!

I have never shopped on Black Friday, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day. And I don’t plan on it, ever.

I don’t, or should say very very rarely go shopping on black friday to many crazy people out there.

Miss-Joker: 0 hours! I never shop on Black Friday at all. I’d rather just pay more money than deal with the insanity I read about in the news.
That said, I rarely shop “in real life” at all though, so I may be abnormally averse — I prefer to browse online in peace and have everything I want delivered to my door.

I don’t line up for black Friday and I think it’s pretty awful that stores are opening earlier and earlier on Thursday night so employees can’t enjoy thanksgiving with their families. The only time I’ve shopped on Black Friday is later in the afternoon once there aren’t crowds.

I have never shopped Black Friday and never will! Especially now with more stores opening on thanksgiving its so sad! Those poor retail workers deserve a nice holiday with their families as well. Saving some money isn’t worth ruining someone else’s holiday. What’s the point anyway with cyber Monday now?

Theres no option for “i dont line up at all…” So theres my answer…LOL. There is nothing i want so bad that i would deal with that craziness and waste my time standing outside for. I know some people who just go out at midnight or however early the stores open…i dont really have any friends who have stayed outside an extended amount of time.

The only time I went in my entire life was after eating Thanksgiving dinner one year. It was mainly because we wanted something to do, had never “experienced” Black Friday before, and were in the market for a TV anyway. So we went to Best Buy. It was crazy and not a fun experience. Never went again.

Went to Target a few years back at around 4am (they were opening at 6) for a flat screen tv they were selling for 298.
They, thankfully, were pretty well organized, handed out tickets to those in line for the tv. There was still a big rush in, but it wasn’t the trampling people to death rush that you hear about.
I ended up getting the tv, an xbox 360 with kinect for $160 and a portable dvd player with dual screens for $60 (great for my nieces on trips)
We’re debating lining up for an xbox one this year. Wal-Mart has the best deal, but they also tend to be the worst when it comes to safety. Not looking to die to get an xbox. Might hit up target again even though the deal isn’t as good (still good but not great) but I’m not sure yet

No waiting lines at all here, unless it is the checkout line. My husband and I love it! We don’t do any of the crazy big ticket stuff. We make our list for friends and family and get all of our Christmas shopping done in one day. We love that it is a big kick off to the Christmas season. We go out at midnight and usually return around 9 A.M.
We sleep and then wake up and decorate the house.

One time when I was a teenager, my sister, ex-BIL, his friend, and I lined up around 11PM I think? Maybe earlier. The wii was coming out and we figured we could sell 1 of them on eBay for a hefty profit. I think it ended up being like a $50 profit, which might have beenworth it back then, it was kind of fun and exciting then, but I wouldn’t do it again. I’m a cyber Monday and/or last minute person.
