I felt baby at week 20.5 and it was obvious. I have anterior placenta (found out at week 20 appt) so I didn’t feel any of the little flutters before that.

Around week 15..It felt like a butterfly in my stomach, like a separate body to my own. That’s how I knew it wasn’t my tummy rumbling.

First pregnancy it was around 16-18 weeks I beleive. Just felt like little fluttering at first. Your first baby all your muscles and your uterus is still really tight- so it can take a little while. Each pregnancy you ( or at least I did ) start to feel those movements sooner! Because its not packed so tightly in there like the first time ( I can’t explain it as well as my doctor did- lol ) but my last baby, which was my 4th, I was feeling those tiny flutters and movements around like 11 weeks!

A friend of mine didn’t even know she was expecting until she was 6months!!! ( yes, that really happens) but she found out because she felt the baby move! Crazy I know! But yeah some people it may take longer..

also I was a bit chunky when I got pregnant for my first, I don’t know if that makes any kind of difference in the timing you feel it. But I know I was approaching my 5th month for my first.

mazzoffee:  me neither at 18+1. Earlier in the week I was trying hard to feel something and there may have been some fluttering but I just have no idea!! I’ve been really sick since Tuesday, so I haven’t even tried since then.

I’m sure it will happen soon!!!

The fluttering with me was so slight at first that I wasn’t 100% sure what it was, but it really felt like a butterfly.. and it started to get stronger every day or so, so I figured out it was the baby. I felt it for the first time on a bus – my baby hates cars and busses – every time I get into a moving vehicle he kicks me like crazy.. so perhaps the fact that I took a bus to work every day was the reason I felt him move quite early on 🙂
