Jslack61:  Jealousy is an ugly thing, how sad.

AvaG:  You look amazing, such a beautiful dress(& figure!!)I also prefer the second bustle, but neither looks bad.

AvaG:  Just wanted to comment to say your dress is stunning.  I was curious about the designer, so I checked your other posts, and I think the changes you made to the color make this dress look better than the original (and I’m someone who’s partial to blush gowns)!  The way the stripes stand out beneath the lace overlay is gorgeous.  I also think the second bustle looks best.  I am struggling with what I will do about a bustle on my tulle A-line skirt when the dress comes in, because I think most bustle styles will hide the detailing around the waist and hips.  I might just have the train chopped off, but my dress also doesn’t have lovely detailing at the bottom like yours does.

My best friend’s wedding gown had the same issue with the bustle. Her seamstress ended up doing one similar to your second option because of the weird “corners” the first option gave her dress as well. Unfortunately it ended up breaking half way through the reception so she had to carry it which sucked but it ended up looking nice! I vote the second option!

I like the first bustle better than the the second.  But the OP posted a link to a bunch of options that would go nicely. It’s just my personal opinion of course,  but I’m not a fan of the ‘tucked under’ (I think it’s called french bustle lol) look of the second bustle.  However,  neither of them look bad, so regardless, you can’t go wrong with any choice.  I love your dress too. I especially love you in your dress because you have a flawless body…The perfect shape & look for your dress.

Jslack61:  Your insecurity is radiating! There’s truly nothing uglier than jealousy..

OP, do you have to bustle your dress at all? I found that I didn’t like the look of any bustles and decided to go without!

Ballroom bustles are essentially the same thing as an overbustle (your first picture), but it requires a longer train/fuller skirt I believe.  I would ask if they can hook both layers (lace and underlayer) together.  I think what looks so “messy” is that you can see so much of the lace folded over and it looks like it was just crumpled up there.

I’d also experiment with only one point, as with KimmySumSuga’s bustle (pics on this thread): http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/did-you-have-a-satin-mermaidtrumpet-show-me-your-bustle/#axzz3CuUh8PZM

AvaG:  now that I just went back & looked at your dress again (I wanted to see what I wrote in my comment) I like the French bustle better. I agree with what you said about it looking like a mess in the first one. The French bustle makes the lace pattern line up better.

AvaG: I like the second one the best because the fabric looks a little odd in the first bustle. Your dress is beautiful, By The Way, you look amazing in it!
