As a guest, which extra snack would you most enjoy? Our venue offers..
- Candy Bar which includes M&Ms, gummy bears, peanut butter cups, hershey kisses, etc. in large glass jars with goody bags to fill
- Desert buffet that would include a variety of small pastries, brownies, cookies, etc.
- Donut Wall – a wall of a variety of donuts lol
There’s also a smores option that my fiance is against (?!!?!) haha of all things to take a stand on..
This is an evening wedding and we will have a wedding cake. Our favors are little boxes filled with hershey kisses. The cost is the same for all options, we just need to pick one.

we had warm apple cider donuts at my wedding. people went INSANE over them

I’d probably go with dessert buffet.
Smores sound super messy and difficult to eat… which is fine at the campfire but I wouldn’t eat it when I’m all dressed up

DONUTS. If I ever have an option of donuts, that is what I choose 100% of the time.
I’m with your fiance on s’mores, they are the embodiment of disappointment. They look so good but they taste so blah.

do-nuts. Do-nuts. DO-NUTS. DONUTS!!!! 🙂

Candy. Because it’s a known entity. And because it doesn’t run the risk of getting stale if it sits out for a while.

I think the dessert bar is the best idea to appeal to the most people.

I picked donut wall – unique and bonus it would look really nice. Dessert buffet is second, and I’m not a huge fan of packaged candy at weddings so candy bar would be third for me.

Not everyone likes candy or donuts
I’d say desserts

Of those 3 options, the desert bar would probably have the most appear. But since there’s already cake and a candy/chocolate favor, would a more savory or salty snack be an option?

NEVER! S’mores are one of the most delicious things.
I would have chosen s’mores of those, but since that’s not an option, donuts. Candy was my first choice because then you wouldn’t need favors, not since you have candy favors, donuts it is. Donuts are more interesting than a dessert buffet in my opinion, and I feel like pastries tend to be the worst dessert. However, cookies are easier to take home than donuts, so consider that as well.

I voted desserts because I’m picky about donuts. May I make a suggestion though?
ICE CREAM BAR. Ugh, but obviously this is a big IF it would work for your budget, you had a vendor and the means to handle it.
Just wanted to throw it out there, a local hard-scoop ice cream shop in my town started to serve ice cream at weddings for dessert and I thought it was the most unique idea. They had a small transportable freezer (I think you had the choice to pick ice-cream flavors or they provided some standard flavors) + toppings AND the option cup or cone. I wish they had that for my wedding… but I’m an ice cream whore.
