    Yes, definitely!

No way! It's too embarassing or just boring.

Maybe - just don't have the time to create it.

Maybe - if I can find someone to create it.

@MemoriesGrow  I voted “no,” although it wasn’t because we think it’s embarassing/boring. Slideshows, if done well (i.e. reasonably short) can be really nice. For us it’s a budget thing: our venue has surcharges for using their AV equipment, and it’s just not a priority for us to spend on a slideshow – we’d rather put that money toward including a few more people on the guest list.

We are also putting framed family photos on all the tables as centerpieces, so a slideshow would be a bit redundant, in a way – we’re hoping that guests might circulate the room to look at the pictures, and that they will serve as springboards/conversation starters to get guests to socialize rather than sitting in the dark and watching a screen.

Yes, we’re doing one! We’re having ours going before the ceremony, so people have something to watch while the prelude music is going.  I understand that some are cheesey, but I really like watching slideshows at weddings!

No way. I do think they are cheesy and boring, but I also do not have a lot of pictures of SO and I together. I take all the pics, so they’d mostly be of him and our kids. And our venue isn’t set up for that anyways.

We’re not. The weddings I’ve been to showed slideshows at the ceremony and it was very awkward and boring. Just seeing the bride and groom look up at the screen with their backs to us, while we’re watching, was odd. Plus, they were over 20 minutes long! Not a fan.

We’re putting up pictures on fishwire and clothing pins around the ceremony room. And maybe some type of photo album at the reception.

No, but not because I thought it was cheesy, we didn’t because our reception was going to be fairly short (4 hours including cocktail hour and dinner/dancing) and I didn’t want ppl distracted with watching the show instead of eating. Eat ppl I paid for this meal! 😛 Instead I made a photo collage of DH and I at various stages in our lives. Its hard to explain, and I will have a picture of it later, but I actually attached the pictures to clips to a chain that hung from a shepards hook. I really didn’t do it justice with that description, but I can’t think of how to expalin it.

I liked it because it showed how different we were as kids and growing up and yet somehow we ended up together.

As a guest, i’ve always really hated having to sit through them.  I hate to say it, but as much as I may love the couple, I have ZERO desire to sit through a slideshow of old pictures of them matched to sappy music.

Therefore…I didn’t have one at my wedding.  We just displayed pictures of us in frames and on a clothesline.

I voted no because we really do not have that many pictures together (crazy since we have been together almost 8 years). I am VERY un-photogenic. I hate pictures lol!

We aren’t, for a few reasons. 1) I think they’re kinda lame, except for at my brother’s wedding since I remembered all the old photo’s 2) I have no desire to even try to deal with the logistics of this for an outdoor vineyard wedding 3) I don’t want to spend time doing it. I do keep toying with wether or not we will have some photo’s of us as children, with our families, deceased loved ones, out somewhere at the wedding. For personal photos, we used it in our guest book, which is a calendar.
