Personally when I am done my education I will have a BA, MSc, MA and PhD. I would never expect another rational person to have obtained the same level of education. But to be completely honest I probably would not have ended up with someone long term who has not been to university. Darling Husband has a BSc and MSc.

Absolutely. I have dated really smart, hardworking, thoughtful men   who didn’t happen to have a lot of formal schooling. And in some cases, those guys even outearned me. Education is not strongly correlated with intelligence or earning potential (in my experience).

One thing that would be a hang up for me would be a lack of curiosity. If someone hadn’t made any effort to educate himself about something he was passionate about (or lacked the intellectual humility to want to learn), I couldn’t really work with that.

Being “educated” isn’t everything. I’ve met many people who are “educated” and are not that bright. On the flip side, I know some very intelligent people without a formal education.

If the conclusion you take from your narrow selection is that the “uneducated” tend to be more abusive and domineering… well, you’ve proven my point.

I’d date someone with a different education level than my own. For what it’s worth, I’m Ivy League educated (both bachelors and masters).
