If it would have gotten to a point when I would feel resentful that he is still not proposing and “wasting” my time I would have to walk. We were together for 3 years and 11 days when he proposed… I thing 3.5 years would have been a very close call..

jewellight: Yes, I would. For it would mean we’re on different pages and we don’t share the same life goals. That being said, there are tons of successful couples who never tied the knot. I’m sure it can work – but not for me.

Getting married has always been important to me, so yes, I would have left Darling Husband if he hadn’t proposed within a reasonable timeframe (which we had discussed and were on the same page about early on in our relationship).
