Good morning bees 🙂 I am starting to organize my wedding thoughts into purchases, LOL. For centerpieces, I plan on doing pomander ball centerpieces. I am trying to decide between 5′ or 6′ balls.
Yesterday I made this order. http://www.ellasflowerbasket.com/storefrontprofiles/processfeed.aspx?sfid=121195&i=15141708&mpid=8031&dfid=1 These are the carnation picks that will be the floral on the balls. I was curious as to whether anyone had a guess on how many picks per ball I will need of either the 5′ or 6′ balls. I will need around 30 centerpieces. The picks at 3.5 inches.
Thanks for your help!

@Lindsey….I did pomander balls for my sisters centerpieces using 4″ balls and it averaged out to about 35 carnations per ball.
We have some extra carnations so that we can do any last minute repairs/alterations while setting up for the reception.

I did a sample carnation ball and I used a five inch ball and used around 50 of them but I think my carnations were a little bit smaller!!! Hope that helps!

I used (for a different look) sheet moss and made a mossy pomander, which could be a nice compliment to the carnations!
I think it will be a beautiful centerpiece!
