I would search for an agency baby sitter.

Why can’t their parents watch them?

Can you ask the venue to fence off the pool with portable crowd fencing?

The old saying, “not your dog, not your fleas” seems appropriate here.

Make it very clear to the parents that there will be a pool there that is not enclosed. the rest is out of your hands. Even if you do get it enclosed, having a number of unsupervised kids at the wedding seems like trouble.

@cali_cat:  In that case I would hire an agency  sitter,, rent an extra  room for the kids, bring in some videos and gaming systems and insert a card in the invitations sent to those families, informing them that the children are welcome for the ceremony and dinner, but not the rest of the reception.

Find out if you’re responsible for insurance if someone falls into the pool.  If it’s the hotel’s responsibility, then let them run wild.
