Hi all. We’re looking to decorate the swimming pool at our wedding venue (my in-laws backyard). I’ve been searching for floating paper lanterns similar to the link below. However, I only find them for sale on sites in the UK, Australia or wholesale. I’m also considering those floating tea light holders (see second link below).
Does anyone know 1) where I can find floating paper lanterns and/or 2) whether floating tea light holders will work in an outdoor pool or are they mainly designed to be floated in a bowl?

I’m thinking you can probably go to Target or Walmart and buy clear plastic plates or stryofoam plates and add some kind of fern with a tea light on them and have beatuiful candles.
Or you can DIY the chinesse lanterns with a stryofoam plate and a tea light.
Ot maybe just get some Large Leaves from a tropical plant and float them with a tea light. You would be amazed at what floats in a pool. The idea’s are endless.
Send pic’s…..this should be fun!

Hmm, the only thing I can find is floating water lotuses from the site that i’m getting paper lanterns from
or here’s instructions on making your own
The candles would look nice too. I’ve seen people do that but I’m not sure what they used. I think as long as the water is calm the ones you linked to would be fine because they have a bit of a rim.

actually, i think depron would be a good foam to use for that if you were to make your own rather than styrofoam.

I was thinking of doing this too for the pool at our location. Anyone actually did a DIY lantern?
