I’ve read in some blogs that while TCC specially the TWW, one should avoid hot baths, but whAt about getting in the pool, sea or even swimming. Does anyone know?
I was just in Thailand for a week while in the tww (and we BD right on time) but got a BFN today so was wondering whether jumping in the sea so much had an influence…
Highly appreciate any info!

i went swimming literally 30 minutes after baby was in the process of being conceived and went in the jaccuzi and hot tub. Here i am 14 weeks pregnant.

It should not affect you at all!
The only reason people avoid baths is because of rising body temperature, which you should avoid during pregnancy; however, this shouldn’t even affect implantation during the TWW.

No activity or swimming should affect anything. The tub recommendations are due to the heat.
Hang in there, if it’s not your month there is always next month!

Perfectly fine in the TWW and while you’re pregnant. I asked my doctor about this before going to the ocean because I was worried some bacteria or something might get up there; the answer is that it’s sealed off and safe to swim in both pools and ocean/lakes.
The only reason they say use caution with baths is because if you take really hot baths and overheat your body it can harm the baby. (I took baths my entire pregnancy, I just used a kitchen thermometer to make sure the water wasn’t hotter than 100F.)

oh great, thanks for the heads up ladies. I love the sea so was snorkelling quite a bit, with a surfer t shirt and the water was just right temp, but with the bfn i just wasnt sure it could have been an issue. Good to know its not. Gl to all!

Just avoid hot tubs or jacquzzis, that goes for your whole prenancy. Basically anything that stays at the same temperature when you sit in it can cause your temperature to rise should be avoided. As long as you don’t take an extremely hot bath and since the water temp goes down, you should be all set.
