CFAllyce:  Not too early.  That said, I would not be in a pool at a shower.  But, a pool can be a beautiful backdrop even if no one uses it.  A fiesta theme would be so unique and fun!

I think poolside would be fun, and it could be fancy depending on decorating even for a fiesta! You could get some kind of tent to have an indoor option maybe! I guess it depends on the vibe you’re going for! And I don’t know a lot about timeline for that kind of stuff but I personally wouldn’t think a shower 4 months before the wedding would be weird, especially if it makes sense with the weather.

CFAllyce: A pool side shower would be fun. If someone offers to throw you a shower I don’t think you get to dictate how fancy or not it is, so if you want one accept the shower she is proposing. I love Mexican food so I’d be all about that. I would not swim and I don’t think others would either, that would be very strange to me.

I had my shower poolside at my mom’s house, and they rented a tent for it for shade and in case of weather.  No one jumped in, but people checked it out, and a few stepped on to the steps to cool off.  It was a beautiful day.

Poolside doesn’t have to be causal, it’s just outdoors! That said, I would definitely not go swimming at a shower.

But poolside can still be fancy or formal.

That said, a more causal fiesta could be fun–and really cute–too!
