I had popcorn at my wedding. It was a huge hit. I spent a small fortune on getting vintage-y popcorn boxes, but everyone loved them. We had the popcorn in giant bushel baskets and people just served themselves. It was probably the most popular food item we served. I think it’s nice because you can walk around and talk to people while you eat it. You don’t have to sit down with a plate.

I have been seeing this idea around and I love it.  Especially the different options for shakes/seasonings you can give your guests.

My friends had a “Hollywood” wedding.  Guests arrived (dressed in black tie) on a “red carpet” the ceremony was actually made to be an awards ceremony.  Centerpieces were popcorn balls and old “film rolls” and “Emmy” awards.  It was SOOOO much fun.  They also had a popcorn machine for guests to nibble on.

I absolutely say go for it.  Popcorn is an inexpensive wedding favor, fun and definitely fits your theme.  You won’t be sorry if you add it.

I think popcorn would be great. I went to a wedding recently and they had popcorn and cotton candy and it was great! Awesome idea!

I think it sounds so cute and totally works with your theme.  Thinking about it makes me want popcorn……thanks a lot lol.

I think it’s awesome! It fits the theme perfectly! Maybe you can have popcorn balls or fancy popcorn like cinnamon-sugar, brown butter and parmesan popcorn, chocolate and peanut butter, caramel, etc.

Oh, and it’s probably not as easy (but maybe cheaper), but plain air-popped popcorn with regualr melted butter is AMAZING. It makes movie theater and the store bought popped bags seem totally sub-par. My fiance introduced me to this. I grew up thinking Redinbacher’s movie theater popcorn was really good. Pffft. lol
