@Fruitypebbles193:  that is what I was thinking of doing…something for everyone! Sweet, savory, salty…little bit of everything!!

@Fruitypebbles193:  Would a popcorn bar be like different types of popcorn (kettle, caramel, butter) or popcorn and candy that you make sort of like trail mix with?? Pardon my ignorance! Laughing

How fun! You should try popcorn seasoned with Old Bay. Its a seasoning (mainly used on crabs in Maryland, but it can be put on SO many things) and tastes great on popcorn. I love it! It would be a good savory popcorn to offer. Just don’t add too much! A little goes a long way.

I don’t personally like popcorn, so I would not do this or like it, but people go crazy for that stuff.  So it’s a good idea for MOST people I’m sure!

@adoc86:  I just don’t get Old Bay.  It looks and tastes like dirt to me!!! I went to a crab bake in Hanover, PA, like five or six years ago, and the crabs all had that stuff on them…I thought they needed to be cleaned.  But people LOVE it!!!

@peachacid:  Did you grow up eating it? I’ve found that for people who didn’t grow up with it its pretty hit or miss. It does look like dirt on crabs, doesn’t it!? Though I don’t think it tastes like it at all, haha. I can see why someone unfamiliar with it would be put off by the apperance, but most people are initially a little put off by steamed crabs in general if they’ve never had them.

Fiance loves it and he’s from Iowa, but I know  a lot of other people from out of the area who can’t stand it. The last time I was in Louisiana I ordered crabcakes and they were so plain to me (they don’t use Old Bay down there). Just a regional thing, I guess. Only a little bit would be used for popcorn so I think it would be well received. Not piled on like with steamed crabs.

I love the idea of having a later night snack.

I went to a wedding last year and they had a cookie bar which had cookies, slices, hot chocolate, coffee and a huge variety of teas everyone seemed to love this.

I’m not a huge popcorn fan I’d prefer lollies or sweets mmmmmmmm

I love this idea! It’s like having the candy bar but with a twist! Very cute.

I’m not really a popcorn fan, but people would probably like this. The only thing is kernels get stuck in your teeth/gums sometimes with popcorn so toothpicks would be a nice addition! lol

We didn’t do this, but it sounds amazing! I would be so excited if I saw this at a wedding. 🙂
